How is the Sanibel Island real estate market?
My clients all want to know. So - here is what I discovered when mining the MLS system to see what went on January through September 2009 versus January through September 2010.
In all Sanibel real estate categories - Houses, Condos and Land - time on the market is longer and prices are down from 2009. The good news is that the number of transactions is up -- 181 in 2009 and 219 in 2010. This is a 20% increase over 2009 volume.
Below are the 2009 figures followed by the 2010 figures.
Is it a good time to buy - yes! With lower prices and low interest rates, it is a very good time to buy.
