Comparing sales - 2013 vs. 2014

Jan.-Sept. 2013 compared with Jan.-Sept. 2014

It's always interesting to check out same-time sales over the years to see how our market is doing. As you can see in the stats below, over the same time period our sales numbers have remained about the same. Sanibel home sale numbers are exactly the same, but the average selling price is down from last year. 

We currently have 139 Sanibel home listings, and as season approaches our sellers are getting ready to list their properties. This should be a good winter season for us as I see more and more great homes put into our Multiple Listing Service. Our economy is on the upswing and interest rates are still low! I see it's started to snow up north and this means people will start to head south to sunny Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Who can blame them? That's how most of us ended up here!
