Last night the "Love that Dress" event to benefit the PACE Foundation took place at the Tahitian Gardens plaza on Sanibel Island. The purpose was to raise money and to collect new or slightly used dresses that will be auctioned off next month.
It was a great time and the generosity of the residents and businesses on the island just continues to amaze me. Royal Shell Companies was the primary sponsor of the event and Baileys General Store and The Prawnbroker Group - aka Timbers and Sanibel Grill provided great munchies and wine. The chinese auction raised over $1000 and was made up of donations by the store owners in Tahitian Gardens.

Each of the stores had a "model" to showcase the stores' goods and to act as an official greeter to each store. Realtors from Royal Shell Real Estate participated, including myself and we were able to adorn ourselves with clothing and jewelry for the evening.
Just a great night and a another reminder of why the islands of Sanibel and Captiva are so special!
